Gemini Season has conjured the Queen of Pentacles and what an appropriate card for this season! The Queen of Pentacles is part of the Minor Arcana which represents the trials and tribulations of everyday life surrounding: generosity, wealth, feminine maturity, luxury, financial independence, healing, and success.
In the Raider Waite illustration of the Queen of Pentacles card depicts a woman sitting in a throne decorated with carvings of material success and sensual pleasure. She cradles a gold coin and looks at it lovingly almost as if she is nurturing her wealth and material success. The natural landscape that surrounds her represents her connection to the Earth. A rabbit hops near her which indicates fertility, abundance, and that her life is in flow. The Queen of Pentacles is fantastic energy as we welcome’s Gemini Season and four planets in retrograde: Pluto – our Shadow, Saturn – Karma, Venus – Love, and Jupiter – Luck. Keep in mind retrograde energy is all about reflecting, reviewing, re-working, basically anything that starts with RE around each planet’s themes. The Queen encourages us to be introspective around her themes as well and how they relate to your own journey. The Queen’s already reflective vibes remind us not to get frustrated during these retrograde times. Surrender and flow with the retrograde energy of this Gemini Season so you come back stronger, clearer, refreshed, and rejuvenated when the planets move direct once again. The Queen of Pentacles’ home planet of Jupiter (the planet of good fortune, luck, abundance, and success) is in retrograde until mid-September. To harness the Jupiter Retrograde and the air energy of Gemini the Queen asks us to contemplate on how we can expand our own personal wealth, success, and abundance. The Queen also delivers the message that nurturing ourselves is of the upmost importance as this will lead to greater imagination and inspiration around success and prosperity. This season has the potential to be extra juicy and rich if you surrender control and follow the inner urges of your heart. The Queen of Pentacles teaches us to love ourselves unconditionally as this is the space where true spiritual wealth is achieved. Once we are secure within ourselves the Queen reminds us that anything is possible including alchemizing our dreams into reality as that is a practice of self love. The Queen urges us to align with our divine wealth and to share whenever possible. The energy of Gemini also helps with communication and playing devils advocate as we hash out new ideas. Trust all the forces of this season: The Queen of Pentacles, Gemini, and four retrograding planets are all supporting our growth and development for optimum evolution. The Queen of Pentacles is always in the flow and she is gently reminding us to join her this Gemini Season.
